FXLR - Live Room Morning Summary - Tues 10 Nov 2009
FXLR - Live Room Morning Summary - Tues 10 Nov 2009
It was a faiurly strange day today, with no real set ups appearing. Not that we can speak of, although we did a few highlighted possibilities that did net a few pips. But there were no official trades called today.
There were a few minor set ups, though, with just a possible swing low/high break here and there, even them without much momentum. All pairs traded with the daily range.
A couple of members took 18-20 pips on a CAD short, but that was about it. Cable was very volatile, moving within it overall asian session range.
Euro and Aussie trading near recent highs, Swissy trading near recent lows.
Yen is mixed, no real direction, just waiting for key levels to break to confirm the next move.
Sorry to be so negative, but not much happene dtoday. Tomorrow is a new day...!
Happy Trading,

FXLR - Live Room Morning Summary - Fri 06 Nov 2009
FXLR - Live Room Morning Summary - Fri 06 Nov 2009
A few trades today, the official ones we'd like to forget. Some members handled did far better, partly because they'd set their orders on entry not as close, and did well with the trade without getting stopped on the original retracements. But looking at the charts after the events the trades looked very good with a larger stop. Difficults getting a balance and different stops for each trade is how many menmbers manage. We just have the -25 guide. Anyway, other trades were poinmted out sucessfully and we had some strategy stuff going on in the room which was enjoyable. After a happy week the end wasn't so happy. Next week will be a decent week.
1. short: USD/JPY @ 90.42. Momentum. This was a nice trade, we thought, but it pulled back soon and took our -25 stop out by just 5 or 6 pips then proceeded in the expected direction to 89.60, a +82 pips trade. Nice for those that didn't have that -25 stop we set.
2. long: EUR/USD @ 1.4900. Ascending triangle.
3. short: USD/CAD @ 1.0611. Descending triangle.
4. short: GBP/JPY @ 148.96. Flag. This trade was particularly frustrating as no sooner had our order been triggered, it ran +25 pips and then reversed as quickly back to the resistance line, then proceeded to move +55 the right way, which was the trade that was expected.
A couple of Trade Ideas highlighted that members took sucessfully:
1. GBP/JPY: Rising channel break @ 150.14, moved to 148.40.
2. USD/CAD: Channel break at @ 1.0680, moved to 1.0756.
